Where does the clarinet choir get its arrangements?  Many of our arrangements are created specifically for our group by our conductor Bill Blayney, members Paul Beaumier and Bradley Stevens, and former member and arranger Matt Johnston.  Other pieces have been acquired over the years through music stores and music sites throughout Seattle, the greater United States, British Columbia, and even Europe. Much of our music has been donated by current and former Northwest Clarinet Choir members.

What is a clarinet choir? A clarinet choir is an instrumental ensemble made up entirely of members of the clarinet family.  A clarinet choir typically consists of an Eb soprano clarinet, multiple Bb soprano clarinets, alto clarinets, bass clarinets, an Eb contra-alto clarinet, and/or a Bb contrabass clarinet.

What kind of music does a clarinet choir play? The majority of original works for clarinet choir were composed from the mid-twentieth century to the twenty-first century, but there are lots of arrangements of earlier works from every genre and time period.
